WHY TRAIN TO BE A HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT?
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) program allows students the hands-on training to quickly learn the skills required for the profession. Our graduates provide comfort, assistance, and support to both individuals and the families of those receiving services at any of the following:
Assisted Living Facilities
Complex Care Facilities
Adult Day Care
Health Care Assistant graduates enter one of the most in-demand professions in British Columbia. Strong demand for care aides is contributing to higher salaries and increased opportunities to work in various environments.
The British Columbia 2025 Labour Market Outlook has Health Care Assistants listed as one of the top ten healthcare jobs, with the sector more than doubling the average growth rate of the rest of the province, meaning there is expected to be over 19,000 jobs for HCA's in BC from now to 2025.
GRADUATE PLACEMENT RATE
Historically, HCA programs in British Columbia have placed over 90% of graduates into healthcare jobs within 6 months of completion, and many times even before they graduate. At Cambria we have a 100% Graduation Rate and 100% Job Placement Rate. Upon completion, you will be ready to start your new career immediately.
