The Health Care Assistant Diploma Program delivered by the Cambria College has been granted a FULL FIVE YEAR RECOGNITION status by the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
Graduates of the Health Care Assistant Program delivered by Cambria are eligible for registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.

* The HCA program was reviewed and approved by the Registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training.

with the sector more than doubling the average growth rate of the rest of the province, meaning there is expected to be over 19,000 jobs for HCA's in BC from now to 2025.

Your Health Care career allows you to ensure the physical, social and emotional health for individuals
and their families needing support in the community. Health Care Assistants earn a highly competitive salary starting between $35,000 and $45,000 annually

6 months of completion, and many times even before they graduate.

All Applicants Must Submit:

A. Completed Application Form
B. Copy of your Government Issued ID
C. Completed Self-Declaration Form
D. School Reports or Proof of English Language Proficiency

HCA APPLICANTS

*All HCA program applicants are required to demonstrate english language proficiency LEARN MORE :

Applicants who were Educated in English:

Submit official transcripts from secondary or post-secondary institutions indicating:

i. English courses with a ā€œCā€ or higher

ii. Minimum Grade 10 English (Grade C or higher)

iii. College courses determined to be equivalent to completion of Grade 10 English (or higher)

iv. Results from a Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT) or Language Placement Index (LPI).

Applicants who were Educated in Another Language:

Submit of one of the following test scores: (Test must be written in the past 2 years)

i.TOEFL: Overall score of 76, minimum 20 in Speaking &Listening and 18 in Reading & Writing.

ii. IELTS : Overall score of 6, minimum 6 in Speaking and Listening and 5.5 in Reading and Writing.

iii. CLB PT: Listening 7, Speaking 7, Reading 6 and Writing 6. (must be written in the past year)

iv. CAEL: Overall Score of 60, with no section less than 50.
